FAQs
How does DeBerryTree Marketing & Strategy support entrepreneurs, businesses or non-profits?
Our goal to learn a little more about you and your business, better understand your goals and develop a plan that will align with your vision. Clients will complete a comprehensive brand questionnaire to help us determine what will work for you and your audience and then we will move to strategy and planning. With weekly meetings and project updates, our goal is to take care of developing a brand, website and more that works for you.
How long does it take to develop a brand?
This process depends on you, your preference and your goals. DeBerryTree seeks to thoroughly understand your audience and preferences in developing your brand. After we do the groundwork, we can develop logo concepts within one-two weeks. Once your logo is approved, we proceed in building your brand to align with your logo.
How long does it take to create my brand and website?
This varies from client to client – depending on your needs. However, DeBerryTree Marketing & Strategy will create your logo and brand first, which will allow you to begin using these elements in your communications and marketing. Simultaneously, we will build your website, which can take four to six weeks from beginning to end – depending on size.
What platform do you use to build websites?
DeBerryTree Marketing & Strategy primarily build websites in WordPress, but other web platforms are available upon request. If you see templates that you like on other website platforms, we can build them in WordPress. Clients will be responsible for securing their web domain and website hosting, but we will guide you through this process.
What deliverables will I receive with my brand?
All clients will receive their logo with various file formats, a brand guide that will include proper logo usage and color palette and typography. Clients who choose The Middleground will also receive sourced icons and photos. Clients who choose The Achiever packages will receive all of the items stated above and comprehensive buyer personas and a lexicon/editorial style guide.
What is the process of building my website?
All websites are designed with you, your target audience and your goals in mind. Ultimately, your website should drive conversions to your services, and our goal is to think about the multiple ways to convert users while they are engaging with the content on your website.
Once we discuss your goals and determine a strategy, we will apply your organizational goals and brand to a thoughtful website design. Then, we’ll provide you with a mockup of your site. Once you approve the mock-up, we will begin building the site on a staging platform. Once the site is finalized, we will assist you in migrating it to your host and pointing to your domain.
What documentation will I need to submit for my non-profit organization or if I’m a social do-gooder?
Nonprofit organizations who receive 501c3 status may submit a copy of their Form 990 or Articles of Incorporation to receive the 10% discount for services. We understand that social do-gooders may not have the same documentation as a non-profit entity, especially if you’re just starting. In this case, we will meet with you and discuss your business and its impact on the communities we serve to determine eligibility.
What happens after I book my package and schedule a consultation?
Once you book your package and schedule your consultation, you will receive an invoice based on the package you’ve selected. Please take care of your invoice promptly to ensure that your meeting remains scheduled.
If you book a package, you will receive an invoice for 10% of your package. Package payments will be billed in the following manner:
- Kickoff: 10%
- Deposit: 45%
- Final payment/deliverables: 45%
Please note, final payment is due before final deliverables will be provided.
How do I prepare for my consultation?
The best way to prepare for your consultation is to think of the goals you’d like to accomplish with your business. This is your pie-in-the-sky and opportunity to dream big! Think of 2-3 obtainable goals that you’d like to achieve and what you’d like to achieve with your branding and messaging. Be prepared to tell me what is working and is not working with your business. This will help to create a plan for your business.
